What is NCOA?
We match your name and address records against Australia Post’s National Change of Address (NCOA) database containing name and address of people who have moved and lodged a Mail Redirection service application form.
The NCOA database contains all the individuals and households that lodged a Mail Redirection form, and from this data we are agents providing access to the various types of data released as permitted by Privacy Laws in Australia.
Having matched your name and address records against the NCOA database (extracted from Australia Post and National Mail Redirection information), we can find new addresses of your customers or donors who have moved and have given us consent to release their new address details to mailers who have their name and old address on their database.
We can match your name and address records against the NCOA database which contains people who have lodged a Mail Redirection application form and have not given Australia Post consent to release their new address details (NCOA non consent). Therefore, instead of receiving the new address details, you will receive a flag indicating that your customer or donor has moved so you must not send mail to that address.
The NCOA Deceased File contains names and addresses of people identified on the Mail Redirection application form as having passed away. We will match your name and address records against this file and flag the records belonging to people who have passed away.
We can work with Australia Post to contact the people who have lodged a Mail Redirection application form but have not given consent for the release of their new address details (NCOA non consent). Australia Post will send a letter on your behalf requesting that the movers make contact with you direct and reveal their new address details. About half of the recipients of a ReConnect request letter take advantage of this offer to let you know their new address details.
